Cytomedix completes its acquisition of Aldagen

Cytomedix has announced the completion of its acquisition of Aldagen, a privately-held biopharmaceutical company developing regenerative cell therapies based on its ALDH bright cell technology. Under the terms of the transaction, Cytomedix issued preferred shares valued at $16 million to the shareholders of Aldagen. Aldagen shareholders will own around 17% of Cytomedix’s equity. Cytomedix will issue additional shares upon the successful attainment of clinical milestones.
