Johnson & Johnson has to decide how to resolve the potential conflict in selling both Medivir’s and Vertex’s hepatitis C drugs if Medivir’s pill is approved, Medivir’s chief executive officer said in an interview reported on Bloomberg. Medivir is developing its TMC435 tablet with J&J’s Tibotec Pharmaceuticals unit. Medivir said last week that the treatment will get a faster review from the FDA. The medicine may go on sale in late 2013.
