On November 4 2009 BioCryst Pharmaceuticals Inc announced that it is to receive a regulatory milestone payment of US$7 because its partner, Shionogi & Co Ltd, has filed a New Drug Application in Japan to seek regulatory approval for intravenous peramivir, discovered by BioCryst, to treat patients with influenza.
